Sudan Airport Transfer Guide (2026) - All Options & Tips
Navigate Sudan's airport arrival with essential advice on verifying services, avoiding scams, and planning your transfer.
We have not yet verified how travellers currently reach Sudan from the airport serving it, so we are not publishing routes, operators or fares we cannot stand behind. For what is running on the day you travel, the arrivals information published by your arrival airport is the reliable source, and your accommodation will usually know what works best for the hour you land.
Helpful Tips
Agree on your fare before stepping in. Khartoum taxis run without meters. Settle the price upfront. Disputes on arrival are common otherwise.
Tuk-tuks dominate short neighborhood hops. Flag one down on any busy corner. They're quick, cheap, and everywhere.
Shared minibuses, called amjad, follow fixed routes across Khartoum. Ask locals at the stop for your route number. This is the cheapest way between districts.
Common Scams to Avoid
Ignore anyone who approaches you at arrivals. 'Helpers' grab your bag, fill your forms, then demand cash. This hits Khartoum's airport hard. Decline immediately. Arrange ground transport before you land.
Skip the unofficial exchangers near arrivals. They flash good rates, then swap in fakes or short you. Sudan's street and official rates diverge sharply. This gap breeds scams. Use marked bank counters inside the terminal. Count your notes twice.
Watch for fake taxi drivers inside the terminal. They pose as official transport, then gouge you with no recourse. This pattern repeats across the region, and Khartoum advisories flag it often. Book through your hotel. Use official ranks. Confirm the fare before entering any car.
